Points of interests

One of the biggest national forest parks of Germany, located in the middle of Germany, protects and develops a unique and varied lower mountain range- landscape of forests, moors and running waters. The national park arose in 2006 with the amalgamation of the national park areas of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Wilderness is able to develop again within the Harz national park, which is of great fascination to our guests. This nature is an excellent base for a relaxing and exciting holiday - pay us a visit!

Excursion tipps

Wernigerode is a colourful timbered town located at the foot of the “Brocken” and is certainly worth a visit at all times. The town itself has an amount of interesting sights to offer, for example the castle of Wenigerode, which can be seen from a distance due to its location; a resin- museum and Europe’s smallest porcelain manufacture are waiting for you.

A stroll through the timbered town will enchant you. Not to forget the historical town hall, this attracts yearly hundreds of brides and grooms.

The Harz narrow-gauge steam locomotive starts at Wenigerode travelling towards the highest mountain of Northern Germany, the Brocken. Hiking trails and Nordic skiing tracks await you.
